After a few months off and a few retreats in El Salvador, the Amigas are back in Nicaragua for the dry season. The week of November 9th kicked off the new season with an awesome group of Amigas who were completely shredding in the water, upside down on the sand, and racing on horseback.
I used to coach Courtney Conlogue way back when she was 12 years old. Even then she was already super dedicated to surfing and fitness. It was no surprise when she went on to win big contests and put together inspiring video parts. Here she is shredding in Mexico.

The day before the start of two Surf With Amigas Retreats in El Salvador, Holly stopped at Punta Mango for a relaxing session. Not trying too hard, just flowing with the waves, and having fun.

It’s been a long time in the making, but it’s finally finished – the Duck Dive Tutorial! Holly Beck, pro surfer and coach at Surf With Amigas explains how to do a duck dive and analyzes footage of Amigas trying it so you can see what they’re doing wrong and how to fix it.

We are so blessed to have Nikki Belcher as our yoga teacher at Surf With Amigas. She is gorgeous inside and out, has a calming, healing presence, and inspires a restorative practice. There was so much prana/energy at the waterfall in the cloud forest that Nikki decided to do a little free flow sequence.
On the way home to Nicaragua from the El Salvador retreats at Sunzal, Jackie and her best friend, Kaylinn, stopped at Punta Mango Hotel for a couple days of barrel hunting froth. Punta Mango is one of the most perfect waves along the entire coast of the country, and the girls properly scored.

Surf With Amigas has taken over the baby sea turtle project in Northern Nicaragua. Come on a retreat in November and December to help support baby sea turtles and participate in their release into the wild.

Melissa came on her second retreat with Surf With Amigas to improve her surfing and also celebrate her 40th birthday. Surfing must keep you young and hot, because Melissa is looking awesome!

We have a rotating “grom” post with Surf With Amigas. First there was Nadia, now we have Holly Bendall. A feral 20 year old British former pro BMX rider who has a very cute accent and likes to quietly suggest directions to Amigas, as in “outside” and “paddow!”
During her second week working with us, she did an awkward duckdive directly underneath an Amiga dropping in and ended up with a severe fin gash across the back of her heel. Good thing she is such a tough chick. While sitting out of the water, she shot photos of the girls and kept up a positive attitude.
