Galloping on the Beach – There’s nothing else like it!

Even if your horseback riding experience consists of one ride at a carnival when you were 8 years old, if you believe in yourself and get in sync with the horse, you can gallop down the beach at full speed. Horseback Riding in the Rain
It’s kind of like jumping in puddles, or singing in the rain, except when galloping on horseback at high speeds it’s a bit more exciting. We outran a lightning storm on the beach last night while laughing hysterically in the rain.

The first week we rode them, the second week we raced them. It’s pretty tricky to get them to go fast, but that’s the funny part! The hot tip from our local guide (and Argentinian horse woman) Julieta was crucial, “you’ve got to push with your ass!”
Natural Spa Treatment
The surf was flat yesterday.. so some Amigas and I spent the day in the cloud forest of El Salvador for a little adventure. The Laguna de Alegría at the top of the inactive volcano offers a spa treatment that some people pay upwards of $100 for: a hot mud bath.
According to local legend, the lagoon was formed from mermaid tears. She cried so hard when the volcano erupted, she drown herself in the water.. and her spirit remains to this day.
