Last year we tried a new location in the South of Costa Rica. We totally scored! Super cute completely uncrowded waves breaking directly in front of where we stayed which allowed long rides and tons of improvement. Amigas joining us on their 3rd, 4th, and even 5th retreats were claiming it to be their favorite surf trip ever!
We’re headed back in 2015 and are super excited about it! The first two retreats are already full but we do have a few spots remaining the week of April 18-25. For all the info click the Costa Rica tab on the homepage or the link here. Email [email protected] to sign up! See the videos below from last year for inspiration.
I know, I know, it’s December already and we’re still posting about November adventures. The thing is that living on the beach in North Nicaragua means a breezy barefoot lifestyle connected to stone age internet. 4 days after initiating the youtube upload, the video is finally ready to view! Enjoy!!!

The El Salvador retreats are geared for advanced beginners and intermediate surfers. This week we had a good mix of shortboarders and longboarders. While the shortboard shredders chose to walk down the beach to a different break, the longboarders cruised right out front for some really nice rides.
Join us in October in El Salvador to get in on this!
One of the unique features of the geography of El Salvador is the short distance between the coast and the cloud forest that sits atop a steep mountain range. In addition to the amount of perfect right point breaks along the country’s gorgeous coastline, the inland topography is home to a cooler climate, rushing waterfalls, hot springs, and an organic farming culture. Though surfing is always the priority, sometimes it’s nice to take an afternoon off to see what else a country has to offer. Just a short trip up the mountain from our spot and we’ll be amongst the clouds, sipping organic coffee, tasting homemade chocolate, shopping for woven textiles, and finding a waterfall adventure.

We’ve been seriously loving Costa Rica. The place we’re staying has two super fun surf spots right out front. One is good when the swell is a bit bigger and another is fun when the swell is smaller. Yesterday we had some small clean waves so we walked just a bit down the beach and scored this fun peak with no one else out! Check out a few snaps from the session.
This is the highlight video from our first ever retreat in Costa Rica. As you can see, it was incredibly awesome. We hiked, we danced, we rode horses, we explored the jungle, we did yoga, and of course we surfed! We are super stoked and have decided to make the Costa Rican retreats an annual event. Stay tuned for details on future retreats.[youtube=http://youtu.be/sGUEoiA5Mhk]
