The Accommodations

We’ll stay in gorgeous jungle-view villas, placed strategically between two adjacent properties to maximize wildlife viewing. The primary property features 4 villas (3 shared, 1 private) and includes comfortable communal spaces to lounge, engage in conversation, share meals, and participate in classroom sessions. A five minute walk along a jungle trail takes you to the second property with a secondary pool and lounge area, plus 3 more private villas. Each villa has either two single beds or a king bed, AC, ensuite bathrooms and private deck.

This region of Costa Rica is regarded as one of the most biologically diverse places in the world. If you like waterfalls, this is your location as we’ll get a chance to explore several of the countries most gorgeous falls including swimmable, jump-able, and slide-able waterfall experiences.

The Surf

We will be driving to surf but there are several spots just a short way down the road. This area is known for its variety of beach breaks and is a great place for improving your fast takeoffs, turtle rolls or duck dives, and learning to read waves. Most of the spots we’ll be surfing are nice and sandy, so beginners are welcome as well. We typically break up the group by ability level so that everyone gets coaching for their specific needs and we don’t show up anywhere with a big crowd!

There are several beach breaks we can choose between depending on the size of the swell. There’s also a rocky left reef break that we can surf if the swell is bigger. This location is best for advanced beginner to intermediate surfers who want to challenge themselves to improve their beach break surfing skills, but we will also accommodate beginners. Holly will be on hand to offer mindfulness workshops as well, so if you’re interested in surf therapy or really working on overcoming fear, negative self-talk, and pushing yourself to establish new patterns, this is the time!

Price: $3400 for a room for 2, $3900 for a private on the secondary property, $4000 for a private on the main property.

Getting There:

To book your flight, fly into San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO), then get a domestic flight to Quepos. The resort is located about 1 hour from Quepos. If you prefer to fly into SJO and travel overland by taxi, we can arrange your ride for about $300 each way. Flying the domestic airline is cheaper and faster and highly recommended. More detailed information will be provided in the booking process.
