Fernanda Herrera grew up in a small town in Baja, Mexico. She learned to surf with her dad while camping with her family up and down the Pacific Coast of the Baja Peninsula. Fernanda has always been involved in sports and dance! She spent a few years as a ballet ballerina and almost ten years competing as a long and triple jumper. Her passion for surfing took off when she moved to Cabo, where she began her career as a surf instructor.

In 2022 she made the decision to explore the other side of the world, moving to Australia to get a degree in Management and to work with surf associations and surf schools along the Gold Coast. Eventually her passion for surfing and the quest for new waves took over, and she went on to surf and explore places like Fiji and Indonesia. Fernanda considers the sea her happy place, where one can be themselves and have fun, where great friendships grow, and where there’s always something to learn. She feels grateful to have grown up surfing and to be part of SWA where she can share this passion with people from around the world.
