Jean Carlos Mendoza

Jean Carlos Mendoza grew up in the beautiful jungle town of Pavones, a place his grandfather founded over 80 years ago. It was in this slice of paradise that Jeanca learned how to surf at only five years old. Eventually his passion for surf led him to compete nationally and internationally with Team Costa Rica in 2012. Jeanca has since built his career around surf instructing and surf guiding in his hometown.

Jeanca is passionate about preserving the “Pura Vida” way of life and protecting the local beaches and amazing nature in Costa Rica. He’s proud to share his heritage, culture, and surfing expertise with visitors and is stoked to welcome Amigas to his home, to share waves together and experience the magic of Pavones!
