Naomy Ramirez was born and raised in the legendary surf haven of Pavones. At just 12 years old, she taught herself to surf by watching the other locals, paddling out, and just going for it. Growing up where she did, where the rainforest meets the sea, she feels a deep connection to the ocean and nature; this is her happy place! Whether she’s surfing or canyoning, you’ll probably always find her on an adventure.

Naomi earned her degree in Ecotourism from the University of Costa Rica in Golfito. This background makes her more than just an instructor; she is a local expert who understands the delicate balance tourism in her community. Naomi is passionate about sharing the magic of Pavones and the epic waves in the area through sustainable adventure tourism.
