Spanish Seaside Village Retreat

“Off the beaten path & away from crowded line-ups in a small galician seaside village”

This retreat is for: Surfers who want to improve their beach break skills along the breathtaking European coast. Open to beginners, and surfers of all levels who ride longboards. 

The Cottage

Stay in a beautiful stone cottage located in a small seaside village in the heart of the Galician coast in Northern Spain, just a 5 minute walk from a beautiful beach where you will get to surf. The cottage features a cozy living room and various bedrooms, an indoor pool, a spacious garden and a perfect chill-out area for post-surf relaxation. Wifi is available. We’ll be nestled in a rural community where the few neighbors are mostly engaged in farming or fishing. Expect daily greetings by cows and the roosters at dawn!

This historic area sits along the path of the famous, ‘Camino de Santiago Lighthouse Way’, hiking trail. The trail itself is famous for its rugged beauty featuring cliffs, sandy beaches, dunes and forests.

THE SURF

This retreat is the perfect place to hone your beach break skills and boost your wave-reading abilities. The beach closest to the cottage (just a 5 minute walk!) has long rolling white water waves perfect for first-time surfers, and friendly waves for advanced beginners who are catching green waves and going down the line. If you’re a seasoned longboarder, you can work on your cross-steps! If the swell isn’t working out front, we may take a drive along the coast to explore other waves too! All of the beaches are sand-bottom and offer rights and lefts.

Northern Spain Seaside Village Retreat Details

Price: Ranging from $2600 for a shared room with shared bathroom to $3400 for a private room with private bathroom (pending availability)

What’s Included:

  • Two way transportation from the Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport (provided you arrive and depart on the designated days/times)
  • 7 nights accommodation in a shared room (2-4 per room depending on size of room. Price upgrades available to have fewer roommates)
  • 4 deliciously healthy fresh meals per day (early morning cold breakfast, hot brunch, lunch, and dinner, plus dessert)

Getting There:

Book your flight into Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport (SCQ). Depending on where you’re coming from, you’ll probably have to fly through a major European hub such as Madrid, Dublin, or Brussels.
