The Accommodations
At Surf With Amigas we typically focus on value accommodations and go big on service in order to keep the price affordable. We’re expanding beyond our comfort zone to offer you the most luxurious post-surf lounging experience ever in Costa Rica.
We’ll stay at a brand new lux house a short drive up the hill from a variety of surf spots. The resort features 5 rooms to be split by 1-2 guests with AC, hot water, and high speed fiber optic WiFi. There’s a comfortable living space with a big screen tv where we’ll do our surf coaching and classroom sessions, and a relaxing infinity pool long enough to do laps plus hot jacuzzi. There’s a gym, pool table, and surf view yoga deck. There are so many different swinging day beds and places to lounge while enjoying the ocean view, it may be hard to motivate to do much else at sunset time! The delicious and healthy fare will be catered by an experienced local chef.
This region of Costa Rica is regarded as one of the most biologically diverse places in the world. If you like waterfalls, this is your location as we’ll get a chance to explore several of the countries most gorgeous falls including swimmable, jump-able, and slide-able waterfall experiences.
The Surf
We will be driving to surf but there are several spots just a short way down the road. Relaxing on the pool deck and enjoying the view after our sessions will make hopping in the car to surf more than worth it. This area is known for its variety of beach breaks and is a great place for improving your fast takeoffs, turtle rolls or duck dives, and learning to read waves. If you live at a beach break, this is the place to hone your skills so you will feel more confident back at home. Most of the spots we’ll be surfing are nice and sandy, so beginners are welcome as well. We typically break up the group by ability level so that everyone gets coaching for their specific needs and we don’t show up anywhere with a big crowd!
There are several beach breaks we can choose between depending on the size of the swell. There’s also a rocky left reef break that we can surf if the swell is bigger. This location is best for advanced beginner to intermediate surfers who want to challenge themselves to improve their beach break surfing skills, but we will also accommodate beginners.
Holly will be on hand to offer mindfulness workshops as well, so if you’re interested in surf therapy or really working on overcoming fear, negative self-talk, and pushing yourself to establish new patterns, this is the time!

$6000 for huge surf view private room with king bed, private deck, luxurious large private bathroom and sitting area.
$5000 for surf view private room with king bed, shared deck, and shared bathroom (shared with surf instructors)
$4500 surf view shared room with double bed sized bunk bed (stairs not ladder to top bunk)
$4000 surf view shared room with two single beds and private bathroom

Getting There:
To book your flight, fly into San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO), then get a domestic flight to Quepos. The resort is located in Uvita near Dominical, about 1 hour from Quepos. If you prefer to fly into SJO and travel overland by taxi, we can arrange your ride for about $300 each way. Flying the domestic airline is cheaper and faster and highly recommended.
