Watch Holly Beck Surf The Boom in Nicaragua

We are gearing up for one of our favorite retreats of the season, the Advanced Tube Riding Clinic in North Nicaragua! Here’s a highlight from Holly surfing the beach break from our most recent tube riding clinic.

At these retreats our goal will be to help you develop the skills needed to get your first tube ride. We’ll be getting up early and paddling out at sunrise, then coming in for breakfast, and paddling out again! If the tide and wind are good, we’ll surf four or five hours per day. This retreat is about surfing our brains out!

Bianca Gets So Barreled in Africa

This wave in Africa is a bucket list destination for me. It’s super remote, cold, sharky, but a crazy long crazily perfect tube ride. I click anytime I see a video clip of this spot and this is the first time i’ve ever seen a female surfer tackle it. I do wish there was a bit more surfing a bit less of the other stuff, but it’s still worth a watch.

Instructors Surf

During retreats our job as instructors is to make sure the Amigas get great waves, learn something new about surfing, and have an awesome time. Of course, there is a chance for us to get to catch a few waves as well. While we make it a point to give all the best waves to the Amigas, sometimes we’re able to sneak a few good ones for ourselves. Here’s a silly little video showing some behind the scenes action from the Surf With Amigas Instructors in February.

Holly Beck Surfs and Skates in Ecuador

A couple years ago Holly took a trip to Ecuador with the Sector 9 girl’s team and scored with miles of uncrowded beach break, warm water, and great long smooth hills for skateboarding. One day we might even head back there with a group of Amigas.
