During a week of downtime in between retreats when the waves were not particularly cooperative, our Amiga Instructor Jamie – a biologist who worked as a fishing observer in the wild waters off Oregon – got Jackie to get into fishing. They made some poles out of sticks and line, collected feathers, silver power bar wrappers, and bait off the reef, and cruised out on surfboards to try to bring home dinner, all while looking super stylish in shorts by Greenlines.
