What? Yep! It’s happening. Your favorite surf retreat is going to a remote island in Indonesia and you’re invited!

Where? Nemberala Surf Resort, Rote Island. Fly into Bali (or Jakarta), then fly to Rote, and we’ll handle it from there! As with all our SWA locations, its a journey to get there, but we promise it will be worth it. *Email for our detailed travel document.
Who? You! Advanced beginner to advanced surfers are welcome. Some surf experience is necessary. If you have never surfed before, join us at one of our beginner friendly locations first!
Why? To surf and adventure with a supportive group of women on a gorgeous remote island. It’s literal paradise. Luxurious accommodations, clear water, and fellow badass amigas to push you outside your comfort zone— and into the tube… or onto a cute green wave! It’s going to be a trip of a lifetime.
The Resort
Stay in gorgeous ocean-view double occupancy bungalows with large a/c rooms, each with a private bathroom where you can take a warm shower under the stars. Option for a private room upgrade. There’s an oceanfront bar and restaurant to re-fuel between surfs and watch the sunsets with a cold drink, and a gorgeous pool to rinse off the salt. The resort is situated on a white sandy beach with a 180 degree view of the turquoise water and waves out front!
The Waves
We will be accessing all of the surf spots by boat, and they are all reef breaks. The Nemberala Left is the main advanced short boarding break near the resort. The point-like reef is approximately 400 yards long. There is also a softer, more friendly right that is hollower on low tide and fatter on high tide, and a user-friendly a-frame reef break close by. Based on the conditions, we’ll adventure and explore around the island with the goal of finding waves for everyone.
Yoga + Other adventures
The ocean front, open-air yoga deck will serve as the perfect space to stretch and regroup between surfs every day. Aside from surf and yoga, throughout the week we’ll ride bikes around the island, go snorkeling in the crystal clear water, and cruise on SUPs through the beautiful lagoon/mangroves! As with all of our retreats, all the activities are optional and we’ll strive to get into adventures that connect us to the local community. There is also an incredible on-site spa to take your relaxation to the next level.

Price: $2500 shared room for 2, $2750 private

Book Flights
To book your flight, first fly into Bali Denpasar (DPS) from where ever you are coming from, spend the night on Bali (or multiple nights!), then fly from Bali (DPS) to Kupang (KOE) to Rote (RTI) to arrive on the Saturday the retreat starts. You can also fly into Jakarta (CGK), then fly to Kupang (KOE) to Rote (RTI).
*There is an option to add on extra days at the resort for a discounted rate just for Amigas if you’d like to arrive early or stay longer!
