After a few days of really cute waves in Southern Nicaragua the BIG swell hit. Enormous waves were breaking way outside sending huge walls of whitewash steamrolling into the beach. Holly led a handful of brave Amigas into the lineup and coached them into some really nice ones in between a lot of duck-diving and turtle-rolling. If you believe in yourself, anything is possible (even surfing really big waves)!

The Surf With Amigas crew cruised down to Southern Nicaragua for a retreat at Magnific Rock in Popoyo. 12 awesome Amigas scored super cute waves, galloped on horses, and explored the nearby hot springs. Good times!
Holly and Kim met in 2010 at Coco Loco, eventually moved there and began running Womens Surf and Yoga retreats. After a few years and Kim’s proposal, they decided it was fitting to have their wedding ceremony at the place that means the most to them. They filled Coco Loco and La Bahia with family and friends for a week of retreat-like activities – surf lessons, yoga, galloping on the beach, volcano boarding, cocktails at La Bahia – except instead of just cocktails, the last day at La Bahia included a wedding ceremony.
