It’s kind of like jumping in puddles, or singing in the rain, except when galloping on horseback at high speeds it’s a bit more exciting. We outran a lightning storm on the beach last night while laughing hysterically in the rain.

Amigas Team Froth Session
What do you do for vacation when you already live in paradise? We had one week off in between retreats and since we were driving North from our Magnific Rock retreat and passing right by Rise Up Surf Tours (an awesome surf camp owned by a friend), we stopped in for a couple of days. It didn’t hurt that there was a big swell running and the perfect tide situation for one of my favorite waves in the country. I was super excited to show it to my friends and give the team a few days of surfing and relaxation before heading back to work. Good times!

Jenna is Not Afraid to Fall

Every once in a while we get an Amiga who is a total badass. Jenna had never surfed before (other than randomly renting a board and flailing about). She set a new bar for fastest improver ever! It might be her experience wake surfing that led to her feeling so comfortable on the board, but we’ve never had a first timer dropping in, angling, and turning so consistently by the end of the week. She even fell off a horse at a full gallop and got up smiling, then got right back on the horse and continued galloping – another first! Jenna – you are awesome!
