Central Nica Retreat Highlights

On our very first retreat in Central Nicaragua we might have had the most shredding group of Amigas ever. We scored amazing waves right out front of the retreat, explored the tide pools, and went zip lining. There was a particularly big swell this week and the Amigas were charging with the help of the instructors and each other. There was tons of cheering and lots of support every time someone got a great ride or had to do too many turtle rolls. It was an awesome week and we’re excited to go back!

Every year we love heading down South for a little guaranteed all-day offshore froth mission. This year we had a super shredder in Christina who may have scored the biggest wave by an amiga ever! What do you think? Ever seen an Amiga go bigger in one of our videos??? Let us know in the comments!

New Trio of Instructors for Rainy Season Retreats

The rain hasn’t started, but we’re still calling our series in Nicaragua from May – August the rainy season (do your rain dances and send any drops our way!). We are very excited to have a trio of new smiling faces rocking the Surf With Amigas rash guards. We have two Aussies and one Oregonian with very different but very awesome personalities who will be happy to help you catch your very first wave or perfect your duck dive. We are obsessed with our Costa Rican location, hidden at the end of the road, on the edge of the jungle. It’s such an awesome spot that we’ve added two bonus retreats in September 2015. Meet SWA Yoga Teacher Carly

Surf With Amigas is lucky to have several awesome yoga teachers on staff to keep you loose, relaxed, rejuvenated, and inspired between surf sessions. We are pleased to introduce Carly Chivers who will be attending many of our retreats outside of Northern Nicaragua. She’s a great surfer so she knows just how to stretch out tired paddling muscles and get you energized for your next session.

El Salvador Week 1 Highlights

We’re finally getting through all the incredible footage captured a few weeks ago on the first of our two El Salvador advanced beginner/intermediate retreats. Watch for more videos of the surf action and silliness to be dropping soon, but here’s the highlight reel.
